NaNoWriMo Set Your Outline Free
OK, so you are doing NaNoWriMo for the month of November 2011. If you are setting your whole NaNo Novel Free, great! Congrats! Post and let us know with a link to your novel.
If you don't know what I mean by setting your novel Free, check out Free Writing Beginnings.
Let's say you are a bit hesitant to set a whole novel Free. I have a little idea for you. Now I don't even know if outlines are covered by copyright but, let's say they are. Try the small step of setting your outline Free.
Set up a blog, and each day, post the outline as it exists at the end of that day to the blog under a Free license. Then come here and post links letting us know what you are up to.
all the best,

Free Writing Beginnings
Free Writing Beginnings
So, this is the start of a little blog to encourage writers to commit to or at least dabble in setting their work Free (libre Free, not necessarily gratis free.)
I personally a Copyleft Free license along the lines of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license:
Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 United States (CC BY-SA 3.0)
BY-SA 3.0 Legal Code
but if you are not one for Copyleft, then something like the Creative Commons Attribution license:
Attribution 3.0 United States (CC BY 3.0)
BY 3.0 Legal Code
Think about it. If you are willing to commit, great! Let us know in comments and post links to your Free works.
If you are not sure, or even if you are dead set against it, why not experiment with it. Chose one or a few possibly small works and set it(them) Free. Let us know about it. See what happens.
Let's discuss what we learn and where it takes us.
Of course, if you are not in the US, there may be a license for your country and there is also an unported license.
